Lulé is a sustainable baby furniture company with the goal to significantly reduce the huge environmental footprint of a new baby through a circular business model. We strive to design and build beautiful, high-quality baby furniture that will last for generations.

This year in North America, over 4.5 million babies will be born. This amounts to millions upon millions of baby cribs, change tables, bassinets and more filling up land-fill sites as these babies grow out of their furniture (not to mention all the energy and resources used to produce all that short-term furniture in the first place).
Usually, mass-produced baby furniture is built to withstand a few years of use, so this furniture quickly breaks down (loose assembly, parts become worn, etc.) and cannot be repaired because of its cheap construction. Buying used furniture can be a good option, but some experts warn against purchasing used baby furniture that may be damaged, contain unspecified toxic materials or finishes, or may no longer meet current safety standards. How is Lulé furniture different from mass-produced baby furniture? Our furniture can be returned to us (through our Buy-Back Program) and the wood is recycled to make more baby furniture. If you choose to keep your Lulé furniture, it is solid enough to last through many, many years of use. And if ever it is damaged, it can easily and safely be repaired. |
Lulé sources wood from North American forests, using only non-threatened tree species. In addition, Lulé furniture is locally designed and made, supporting the local economy and local artisans. And since we don't use toxic materials to build Lulé furniture, our wood shops are safe to breathe in. You can be sure that your engagement with Lulé helps pay fair wages and supports excellent working conditions for your hard-working neighbours.
